AASARA
Scholarship Program
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world”
Knowing the importance of education, Team ABHAYAM initiated AASARA program in 2009.
Aim to reduce the financial burden on parents and drive the student to pursue education without Hassle
Minimum of 10-15 students per academic year mostly from G.I.C.E and Govt Polytechnic institutions in
Visakhapatnam are getting benefited by this program.
A robust process of 3 stage selection criteria is been followed based on the student academic merit and financial status.
Every year students get enrolled through AASARA application based on eligibility criteria.
The collected applications are further scrutinized and counselling will be conducted to the selected students.
As a final selection, selected students from counseling are verified by ABHAYAM team in order to cross check the details given by the students.
A parents meet will be conducted by team ABHAYAM to explain the scholarship program in detail.
Every month a student meet is conducted as a part of AASARA program to fulfill the needs of students.
AASARA will cover whole expenses related to education including travelling and accommodation.
AASARA is a core and primary program of ABHAYAM.
SUSHRUSHA
Support the Deprived
SUSHRUSHA program is initiated to support old age homes and orphanages.
Team ABHAYAM with Aasara students, organizing frequent visits to old age homes and orphanages to build social responsibility and service motive within students.
We have associated with Loyola old age sweet home, Spoorthi Orphanage, Sadhu Ashram Orphanage, Love and care children home and Physically challenged ladies' hostel by supporting them in children education and monthly expenditures.
CHEYUTHA
Relief Activities
Cheyutha is a relief activity program organized during natural calamities and Extreme Weather Conditions to support
the affected people by supplying basic needs.
Winter clothes distribution started in 2009 in Visakhapatnam city and continued every year. Later, winter cloth distributions extended to Hyderabad and Kakinada regions in addition to Visakhapatnam.
In the year 2014, when HUDHUD cyclone affected many parts of Visakhapatnam, we distributed Ration kits and vegetables to the residents of three villages.
During COVID-19 Pandemic emergency, we donated 75000 INR to PMcares covid relief funds, Distributed PPE kits to health workers, Ration kits to the needy families in remote areas, food and buttermilk packets to homeless people & migrated workers and provided rice bags to orphanages in visakhapatnam and anakapalle.
Under CHEYUTHA, team Abhayam plans to conduct Medical camps in remote areas.
SPOORTHI
Student Interactions & Motivational Program
Spoorthi is an awareness and interaction program to motivate and inspire students towards achieving their goals and building social responsibility.
The program comprises of group discussions, seminars conducted by ABHAYAM members and students.
Technical, personality development, social responsibility and general awareness sessions are conducted in timely basis.
Annual Alumni Meets are conducted to regroup Members, Old and New students with dignitaries to create synergy and inspiring the students by sharing experiences and thoughts.
The first alumni meet was conducted in 2017 and successfully continued till date.
Games involving team work, group discussions and open questionnaires are conducted as a part of team building activities.
In 2018 alumni meet, a blood donation camp was organised by ABHAYAM in association with NTR trust and the same was again organised in 2020 alumni meet.
In 2018 alumni meet, an eye donation awareness program was organised to educate members and students regarding the importance of eye donation.
